The first act of the movie had me really interested. Great acting and writing.
As the story unfolded in the second and third acts it lost me a little. Not that I was confused, everything is explained in the dialogue…but it felt like they abandoned the characters a bit and it all became convoluted and underwhelming. Mild spoiler but I felt the most exciting moments came in the first 45 minutes.
Don Cheadle’s character was great. Benicio Del Toro as well. All the actors in this were great.
Most movies suck now, this one’s fine.
One other critique would be the weird vignette filter they used throughout most of the movie. I guess they were going for an interesting and unique look but to me it was just distracting.
