An interesting read about the plight of the couple in a small town in Tamil Nadu who are unable to conceive. The plot weaves together various superstitions as well as the mindset of a town where conceiving is an ultimate award for a married couple. The dilemmas of the female protagonist who is trapped between social structures, conjugal bliss and personal desires is beautifully narrated.
