Typical modern horror movie with very dark cinematography and it definitely seems like it has more in common with the many Hellraiser sequels than it does with the Evil Dead franchise. Even the Evil Dead franchise had to get in on the girl boss trend, which would have been all right if it had some humor like Ash vs Evil Dead did. Definitely a disappointment from a long time fan of the Evil Dead franchise. I've watched enough horror movies outside of the franchise that I'm not just going to be a fanboy when they produce something that I consider to be no better than the many Hellraiser sequels, after the first 3 Hellraiser movies of course.

One of the grossest films I've ever seen and the comedy is hilarious, especially when it's making fun of the SJW types. Only watch this film if you've got a strong stomach.

The outhouse murder is probably the grossest possible way someone could die. That murder alone is worth the price of admission.

Great show. Great memories. Grew up with this in the 80's and the humor is so much better as an adult.

Far better than the werewolf vampire trash they produce nowadays in terms of story and character. The characters seemed real, not larger than life. Personally I think it should have ended when he got Skorzeny, but it was still good right up to the end.

The comic book was better, but the adaption was actually better than most of the comic book adaptions that have been done by Hollywood. It would have been better if the script was taken entirely from the comic book without any changes, resulting in a lot more moral ambiguity related to the terrorist acts and a more unsettling, less Hollywoodesque story line.

To this day it remains one of the most disturbing movies ever made. The things it deals with like brainwashing vs recidivism are still very relevant today. Everything about this movie is incredible, especially the soundtrack. Ultraviolence galore! Little Malchicks beware!

Watching this movie in the theater back in the 90's was the most surreal movie experience I've ever had to this day. A lot is lost when it's transferred to the smaller screen, but it's still good, just not as good as it was in the theater, especially the director's cut. The original movie theater version with NIN's Burn at the end was totally mind blowing. The only movie experience that could possibly compare was the ending to A Clockwork Orange.
