Not slushy or contrived, this is a sensitive eulogy of those lost to Dave Grohl, Kurt, Taylor and his mum.
All the songs are catchy, I'd even go as far as saying earworms. I understand now how easy it is to sing along at a concert or in the car. Lots of repetition and if you still don't get it, the lyrics accompany each song on YouTube.
Grohl played all the drums on the album. Obviously didn't want to trust the skins to anyone else at the time of recording.

My thoughts turned to another film I love, called The Dualists with Keith Carradine and Harvey Kytell where rivalry between two erstwise friends goes hideously wrong. The effects are great and although it breaks the illusion of some tricks, it's a highly entertaining thriller. Great to see the late great David Bowie cast as Dr Tesla and Andy Serkis turns in another great Victorian character.
