Alex needs therapy herself. She could have accepted more help while it was available. The same pattern repeated in her family when she found her daughter in the kitchen cabinet. Fights were started by both parents. I don’t understand why she didn’t give both her parents enough chances. She seemed too partial towards her mother ! It definitely looked like she broke the pattern, but what’s the guarantee it won’t happen again in another relationship when she has to finally make the choice ! I’m glad she got into college, but yeah.. idk.. idk why whatever Alex did seemed heroic so far !
