Consistently awful in all ten episodes! Not a witty comedy at all. Just a depressing drama. There is no consistency to the original series in regards to the tone and style of the beloved SATC genre of comedy.
Miranda is unrecognizable to the original character in every way. She is no longer the smart, confident Ivy League educated attorney; she is simply a confused, out of touch narcissist who acts on irrational impulse like a naive school girl.
There are too many storylines that don’t go anywhere at all. None of the new ethnic diversity characters are given much of a storyline-if at all. The non-white characters are just props for the show trying to address past criticism of all white main characters.
I also don’t like the geriatric storylines for the main characters who are only in their fifties.
It feels like the goal is to humiliate straight middle aged women.
Lazy writing. Too woke. Horrible! The non-binary character Chez Dias is not a likable person. The writers think of Chez as “brave” when in reality they simply created a self-centered, insensitive character.
Maybe a possible Season Two of this horror show of a series will be a little less awful. The only solution is to fire all the current writers of the show.
The irony is that this is a highly watched show because people are drawn to hate-watching the series.
