Why say this show is based on McCammon's book Stinger? It bears almost no relation to that book. It's not a great show in the first place, but why turn off potential readers by associating it with the book (which is awesome)? What is the point of acquiring an IP and then not even trying to be faithful to it? Read the book instead.

Really bro? Did you just give a cat a they pronoun? Despite the ridiculous woke moment above, this wasn't a completely terrible movie. It also wasn't anything ground-breaking. I don't know why filmmakers insist on taking a property that has proven success in its original format and then diluting that success by putting their own spin on things. It almost never works. It didn't work here. This was saved from a 1 star rating by the great acting of the child star and effects, but the story is kind a hot (heh) mess. And why in the HELL would she be okay with just strolling down the beach with the dude who killed her mother???
