It is amazing! The setting description is really good. This book has let me learn things like the Victoria Cross Award and my teacher did some history lessons and we learnt what happened in the war and that two days before it Germany had invaded Poland and I had no clue that this happened! In my opinion the only, yes only bad things is that my favourite animal are elephants and the owner of the circus has to shot his; and that the lion gets taken away from the people that he grew up with and that saved his life. Thanks for this amazing book Michael Morpurgo it was inspiring and enjoyable.
