Decent Disappointment..
So finally Brahmastra is released.. after such a long long wait.. and years of making gone into it, this film has spent a huge budget of around 450 crore..
This film is typically made for been watched in theatres, with the best ever VFX/CGI in any Indian film up till now.. and amazing sound effects matching the astonishing scenes in the film.. That's it.
These are the only points the movie can be praised about, rest department lies in the range of mediocrity to disasters the film has offered on the screen..
A typical bollywood typo dilogues, and a very fast screen play at most parts.. not letting the viewers to adore the beautiful scenes and visual effects of the film.. casting is decent.. but those cringy dilogues just spoils the mood, and sometimes feels wierd, because ofcourse we are comparing everything form the Marvel movies.. so atleast some sort of mature dilogues were expected.. they are just so so bad.
Now coming to casting, such actors were casted, in the main role, who could fit into saying these sophomoric dilogues, and Ranbir Kapoor did exactly what is expected from him.. Alia Bhatt was in her full makeup look through the move, although this movie is ought to be a high action packed one.. and she keeps on irritating, by asking such immature questions throughout the film.. her dilogues only had a '?' at the end of each line.. Amitabh Bachchan was cool, and one South Indian actor was also casted with one power, he was okay too, but what was the need to cast him??.. then Moni Roy, who is playing the evil, was also also decent in her character..
There is one cameo, and that actor really pulled all the attention, and really gave a push to the film initially, and the starting 15-20 minutes of the movie will make you feel so engaged and trigger your expectations for the movie.. but then you'll be exposed to the reality soon.
Rosting aside, talking more about the VFX, which is the only big highlight in this movie.. 90% of the time it was spot on, upto the mark.. you'll feel where every penny of this big budget film has been spent, but not used in the right way..
Now since everyone knows, that this is just the first part.. some questions, some faces are left to be shown and continued in the next parts.. To re-create the suspense.. like "Why did Bahubali killed Katappa" and all the flashback.. but after experiencing such torture for around 3hrs, they would definitely loose some audience..
Overall the film can be said a must watch, if you can prone yourself to some Bollywoodish dilogues, and want to experience some really great visuals, and decent engaging action scenes.. and some songs, that you may have heard before, for around 100 times.. you can get a fresh but fragile screenplay.. and colourful lights running everywhere, from starting to end.. and some logicless physics and chemistry sometimes biology.. then you can definitely watch this Love/Musical Light show film in the theatres in 3D
Thankyou:))
