I think the book could do a lot more describing the experience of women during that time. This would have been the better Movie. Like Oprah’s History of the Butler and Black Middle-Upper Class Hamptons New York, need to visualize these untold stories and to tell the truth about these people not “his-story!” My mother was one. We could start there and the lil Baptist church that recd her in Harlem back then. That would have been 80years ago. So many untold stories. Ava! Oprah! Let’s go!
