One of the worst adaptations I have seen - and I have been a Princess Diana fan from the day she came on scene in 1981. If you base your opinion of Diana in this movie you would think she was a narcissistic brat, mentally unstable and a danger to her children. The scene when she is driving the boys back to London sans seatbelts reinforces that line. Diana knew what she was getting into. She was an aristocrat before she married Charles. This movie makes it seem as though she was surprised by the royal lifestyle. If the writer/director was trying to make her character sympathetic, it failed. I found myself wondering how William has seemingly turned out to be a normal healthy man. And it made Harry’s dive off the deep end more understandable.
