I wanted to like this movie. I truly did. The problem is that it hits a wide range of hot topics but then fails to actually give them anything to address them in a meaningful productive way. I’m not sure how to say how or why without giving major spoilers. To say they failed though is an understatement. Honestly, the budget for this movie would have been better spent producing a film by South Park to address the same issues and how to combat them.

Every generic bad action movie prop is available. Someone went "Let's take Brave, give her the powers, and skill set of the redhead from Resident Evil, and finally... give her the grandpa from 3 Ninjas who will be complete with fix everything (ninja) medicine. It'll be great!" then made the movie. Filled it with everything they could steal from Milla Jovovich in any of her movies, including her hair color. However they couldn't afford her so they got Joey King who spends majority of the movie mouth breathing and looking like she accidentally walked onto the wrong set with her polyester homecoming dress. Most compelling character is the fat guard who spends the movie having to do laps going up and down the tallest tower looking for the Princess. #JusticeForTheFatGuard
