This could be a good show. However, the contestants do not fit with the title. This is supposed to be about American recipes but the finalists in the latest show represented African, Italian, and Mexican cooking. I get the fact that America is made up of different cultures but that is not what I got from the show.
I've removed this from my list of shows to watch.
