C “Cassiopeia” Ruzicka

I had hopes for this TV show but I could not stand how every single character turned out to be out of their minds with anger, violence and abusive behavior. Episode after episode every actor, no matter how much the director tried to have mercy on them, they turned out to be total imbeciles. How is that entertaining? I think there were a lot of good spots that had promise to something really good sophisticated work. But it fell every time due to the stupidity the director chose to portray. 5 stars for good acting! But 0 stars for direction and good plotting. That equals 2 total. Sorry but that’s the best I can do. Very disappointed.

This was a masterpiece of showmanship and direction. The flawless acting, the stunning Mediterranean villages, the ominous hitchcockean cinematography blew me away. I binged on it in two nights. And I was so disappointed when I discovered there was only the 8 episodes. I feel for poor psychopath Ripley who indeed has the right idea about the Pathetic bourgeois, but he will certainly not be able to continue his life of murder and deceit.
