Final verdict: Stick to the Wii version and save your money. Bare minimum effort was put forward to make this game fun. Sure, the animations are great, but the actual gameplay is very disappointing. The game left out the fun mechanics from previous versions such as charging when passing, unique power shots by each player, etc. They axed all of the sidekick players (Dry Bones, Mole, Hammer Bros) that made the previous game fun and have very few main characters to choose from. They also only have 4-5 levels, except none of them have unique environments and characteristics like they did in the Wii version (Run faster in Bowser Stadium, lightning strikes or dropping blocks on other stadiums etc.). The first round of “Cups” is too short and too easy and the “Galactic Mode” is insanely difficult. This game gave me buyers remorse for paying $60. Stick to the Wii Version.
