I'd express that I didn't enjoy the remake much. The 2004 movie, a classic. The new ones written songs felt like a mockery. Cady's performance was commendable, but Regina's portrayal fell short, especially Karen's, which was disappointing compared to the original. While I appreciated the added backstory between Janice and Regina and Ms. Norberry and Mr. Duvall were together in this movie. Overall, I wouldn't watch the remake again. The original, a frequent watch with my daughter wins every time. I believe turning it into a musical was not a good choice and the choices of people to play such iconic roles were not picked well.
