Dee Walker

I went to see this movie having no idea what it was about. I’m kind of glad I didn’t know prior to seeing it because I may have not gone to see it and would’ve missed out on one of the most amazing movies I have ever seen. The movie is heavy, yes. But in the end I couldn’t stop thinking about how beautiful people are and people can be. When I say I was deeply moved it was an understatement. To be that touched it still walk out feeling hopeful is really quite a feat. I hope you will go see this movie for yourself and make up your own mind.

Loved it. Made me wonder if that’s how things would have been if no slavery. Beautiful costumes, sets and authentic dialogue. I really wish I had more shoes to watch.
