This painful, sad, thought provoking series gave me the flu. I almost didn’t want to watch, but then I couldn’t not. It’s powerful, cruel, sad as sad gets, about parenting and the state of affairs for homosexuals and any and all poor minorities at the time. This series gave me the flu. And I still give it 5 stars. Thought provoking, damning series. The relationship between father and son is so well acted and captured. Such a beautiful thing there amidst all the vicious sadness.
