Shockingly depressing. This isn’t a reimagining - it’s a neo Marxist deconstruction. Just about every other scene has some element of power (gender race and/or class) struggle. So much angst. Unbelievably unfun. If you’re going to make a series like this, do NOT use Jules Verne’s name in the same conversation. He was an escapist - this is NOT esacapism. More like dragging you down into the muck and mire of todays societal struggles.
