Walking out of the theater the film is close to a 4-5. Great cinematography and acting. But when you research there was a 5th Von Erich brother (Chris) that was excluded from the film, it’s hard to enjoy it. He killed himself at 21 years old, a big reason being he felt he couldn’t live up to his brothers. This genius director decided to pretend he didn’t exist in a movie about the tragic story of their family. That is beyond tone deaf and disrespectful. A super gross act to treat his memory that way, just because you think it might somehow mess with your creative vibe. Pretentious director. Never felt the desire to leave a movie review before, let alone actually leave one. Just really annoyed and saddened by that decision from the director and felt I should say something. Only not a one star because the actors that are in it did a very good job

Felt like a fan-made movie. The man who thinks all Gods are evil monsters tries to get to Thor by kidnapping kids and assuming Thor is selfless enough to risk his life for the kids. Makes sense. All the God butchering happens off screen. They rely on 6-year-old internet jokes for laughs (screaming goats is very funny!) Janes gets a small girl boss moment because the God butcher is sexist (his most evil trait) and calls her lady Thor! Shame on him for not knowing her real name. After all the immense grief Thor has gone through he continues to be portrayed as a buffoon. My favorite scene is where he's stripped completely naked against his will while women make horny jokes over this (sexual harassment)

If you like the idea of a bitter, sexist, horrible set of writers shoehorning their own insecurities into a show and ruining a loved set of characters (She-Hulk, Hulk, Daredevil), then this is for you. One of my favorite lines in MCU history is in this show. "When incompetent men explain my own area of expertise to me," She-Hulk tells Hulk, while incompetently explaining Hulk's area of expertise to him. This comes after Hulk asks her if she can control her anger and she responds by getting unjustly angry at that question. A good sign for sure. Nevermind Hulk being abused as a child, gamma ripping through his body, and him trying to kill himself but not being able to because he's suffering with being Hulk and just wants to die (remember that dialogue in Avengers that Hulk had with an actually strong female character, Black Widow? The writers don't). She-Hulk has it MUCH worse because men cat-call her and stuff!! If you think that female empowerment can only be had through the emasculation of men (a naturally sexist idea) and that out of place twerking scenes are girl boss, then you're the target demographic for the show.

This movie glorifies slavers in a way that isn't moral or historically accurate.
