The first season was good and I enjoyed the balance of movie drama representing the challenges we think we will face getting to and colonizing Mars and the interviews that focused on getting to and colonizing Mars.
From the first few minutes of the first episode of the second season, it is apparent the focus of the show has changed. The drama portion is ok and quality of the acting and special effects is good, but is now secondary to the interviews that are mostly about climate change on earth, corporate greed and exploiting the natural resources of Mars.
The show's writers must think that humans INTENTIONALLY changing the climate of Mars in the name of science is ok and even to the point they get excited when they see climate change on Mars. But it isn't ok if done unintentionally in the name of corporate profits on that very same planet.
Is this representative of what the scientific community truly believes? If so, the level of open hypocrisy and arrogance is stunning.
