It’s very painful to watch. Such terrible things were endured. I feel I have to watch to show empathy and support. I lived in Dudley briefly so it was great to see it represented. I was born in 1957 and remember some of the comments made, but I had no idea how badly people were treated.
It’s a shame there won’t be a second series, but I will read the book that Lenny Henry is planning.
