An honest review(based on my experience): DEVARA: Part 1. To sum up the movie, it is a visual stunner with great cinematography, captivating storyline initially but fails to deliver that ‘wow’ factor in the end. Opens with a really good captivating first half which was amazing but second half felt like a drag. Many scenes could have been shortened or removed to optimise the film’s potential, making it more realistic. (SPOILER ALERT): Jr NTR, being the dedicated actor he is, justifies his dual roles well. His screen presence is enjoyable, however despite the ‘mass’ factor, I wish we could have seen the full potential of his acting skills as how we witnessed in “RRR”. Saif Ali Khan delivers the most powerful impact and impression as an antagonist. He did really well. Janvi’s role and the “love portion” in the film felt like a hard fit in, unnecessary and minimal effect but I understand the need to add love & glamour to the film. Hope to witness her acting in the sequel. Overall, It is worth the cinematic experience once but please excuse the random ‘over the top’ action scenes and certain unnecessary dialogues. Pan India has Baahubali, Kannada has KGF, Tamil tried with enthiran and now telungu industry gives their shot with Devara (with a touch of baahubali) haha.
