The film left nothing of substance to digest except for many distracting character traits of the film. The story was shallow, the characters did not mix well, the writing was meh. I did not realize it was a chinese sponsored film until i saw the beginning into featuring 'well go usa' and 'alibaba productions'. All of these types of films were bombs in the past in the US, but i decided to have an open mind going forward. Unfortunately, the same old stuff from the chinese produced films (which seem to be coming more and more). Horrible writing, horrible humor, horrible CGI. Chinese humor does not do well in America. British humor barely does well. The CGI of younger WIll Smith, although an impressive feat, was very distracting. The blurring, the eye movement, the mouth was unnatural. During a portion of the movie the audio was not synced on both the CGI Will Smith and the real one. Overall, the film left me with no emotion. Not good emotion nor bad. It was a meh. I'd rather have not wasted my time on it. I can only imagine that these films from chinese producers are barely making it in the black if at all. The only saving grace is that it's made for the masses of general film watching across Eastern and Western cultures and just barely does enough in the box office to pay the bills due to its universal practicality.
