Saw this movie in the cinema when it came out along with my Husband for our wedding anniversary. Now this is important - I wasn't particularly a Tom Cruise 'fan' prior to seeing this - but I sure as hell am now!! Where to begin? I never saw the first top gun so I was pretty clueless going in to this movie. Kinda knew it was something about the navy/planes ha ha! I was in awe of the cinematography. Love love loved the casting of the young pilots especially the fella who played 'Rooster'. My favourite scene? Probably when they are playing touch football on the beach. Thank you to whoever suggested that 😍 Loved the soundtrack. I have to give a nod to iceman - I love Val Kilmer and it was a pleasant surprise to see him. I really liked Bob too! Great personality. Needless to say I watched the first top gun when I got home. Definitely preferred Maverick.
