The movie is beautiful combination of all emotions.
So I read a few critics views on this film and there are some points I would like to talk about.
They say it gives wrong message to the young generation, they asked what is the difference between selling your body for money and mimi... we'll to be straight forward Mimi came from a lower middle class conservative family. She wanted to be an actress. She was beautiful and talented. All she needed was money. After struggling so much for money to go to Mumbai, she still couldn't make enough money. One day she received an offer according to which she had to bear a white child inside her for 9 months and then give the baby to the couple after he or she is born and Mimi would get a very good amount of money for this thing. She was obviously worried how much it would affect her body but on giving her different Bollywood actresses example she trusted the couple and decided to take the child.
Tym stamp to 8+ month. Went for a regular check-up and found out the baby might be mentally challenged. The white couple after learning this didn't wanted the baby. They left. Mimi decided to keep the baby inspite being asked to abort. The moment she looked at the baby after him being born she knew she could fight the world for him. Not bc he was white, bc he was her child. After 4 years the white couple saw their son in a video with mimi. They after being depressed and disturbed fir more than 4 years saw a ray of hope in someone they asked to kill. They came back looking for their son and threatened Mimi with legal actions. A depressed couple who has been trying so hard and spending so much money so desparate for a child saw the child they who was born from their blood. They tried to take him back by every means but seeing an orphan one day made them realise it's not important to own a child to give birth to it to be parents. It's an emotion. They decided to adopt the child and leave their son with mimi where he actually belonged. Mimi on the other hand hearing the couple come back taking legal actions fir her child broke down. And as a parent she decide her child won't suffer because of anything. She was ready to give himto then fir his sake. That's my views on the movie.
