My grade 9 physics teacher, who is also the school coordinator, reminds me so much of Coach Carter. He’s strict, formal, and always refers to us as "sir," creating a disciplined atmosphere in class. His commitment to academics is intense, and honestly, most students don’t like him because of that, even including some parents. He enforces a lot of rules, like not allowing us to play on the field without a proper jersey or sports uniform, even though our sports teacher lets it slide. He even proposed that we all need to score at least 80% in our midterms this year for us to get a physical education class added to our routine, which we currently don’t have. (And obviously no one really liked his idea.)
His strictness and roasting make him seem like an apex predator, just like Coach Carter. What’s even more interesting is that he started in our school as a geography and ICT teacher, areas he wasn’t exactly experienced in, but he gradually worked his way up to being the coordinator. His transformation, discipline, and leadership are really inspiring to me, and I hope to become like him someday. His actions may be unpopular, but they carry a lot of meaning. He’s truly an ideal teacher in my eyes, and it feels like he was influenced by the Coach Carter movie, which he suggested we watch.
After all this, I’ll never look at sir the same way again. He really enjoys his job and has definitely left an impact.
If you are reading this sir, I want to "Thank you!"
