The film 'Psycho' is probably outdated especially with regards to psychiatric illness and the use of words like 'Madhouse' are out of step with how psychiatric illness is portrayed today. The threat of being harmed by someone with a psychiatric illness however is still seen as a threat because of movies like 'Psycho' unfortunately.
