In my opinion, The Talisman is a literary work of art. I first read it in 1985. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. It draws you in in such a way that you want to know what happens next. I actually read it every year. I have been waiting anxiously for it to be made into a movie. Personally due to the length of the book, and to not omit any details, I think it would be best done as a mini series, maybe in 3 or 4 parts. Definitely recommend reading it if indeed you are a Stephen King or Peter Straub fan.
