This is really the only Quantum Leap. The reboot is a joke. In years to come, the reboot will hopefully be regarded as an aberration. It is as if the creators never actually watched any of the original series.
Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell were like lightning in a bottle. They gave a show with a relatively limited budget a huge amount of heart - I looked forward to every new instalment and was almost never disappointed ("Mirror Image" was interesting but should never have been the way it ended). However, I would rather watch the rushed finale a thousand times over than be subjected to any more of the reboot. I got just over halfway through season 1 of that, and couldn't watch any more.
Hopefully the showrunners will see sense eventually, rather like what happened with Star Trek: Picard. I won't hold my breath though.
