Disappointed. It's a memoir but the movie is not authentic. It had the opportunity to depict life in the 70s-80s in a Long Island town and in Connecticut, but it failed miserably. I understand it was shot in Boston, not Manhasset, L.I. and a Black girlfriend, daughter of a mixed race couple living in Westport! Really? The 2010 census lists Westport as 1% Black. And I believe it is still a Sundown Town. The book is a true keeper but the movie didn't do it justice. Recommendation: Read the book.
