this history, although shameful, is important for future generations to know.... not only did it happen, but it happened a second time at the beginning of WW 2. my grandfather was interned at the Seebee Camp in Kananaskis in the winter of 1939 so apparently the Government felt it was necessary a second time.... In my family's case, however we have a file full of documents from the Alberta Archives that were not destroyed that shows a great deal of how these new immigrants were considered "enemy aliens". well done documentary.
