Bummer...I read these books first as a teenager & several more times since, absolutely my favorite fantasy world. For the first 20 minutes all I was thinking was; that didn't happen, that would never happen, who is that supposed to be, they weren't in the book etc, etc. Most of the actors are completely unbelievable in these roles & there's little to no character development. Perrin isn't in a loveless marriage, Mat's not a bum - who wrote this? The story is so full of holes but at the same time, packed with erroneous plot lines that never happened. This adaptation is obviously for viewers who have no familiarity with the actual story. It's a cheap, slapped together, sexy, vapid interpretation for prime time viewers.
