I am so disappointed with how this move turned out compared to the first one. It was just toxic. None of the relationships were functioning at all and just chaotic. Marcus and Angela didnt grow at all. I thought Sheila finally found a new man that would bring some peace and stability but then it started getting messy. The fact that Galvin died and Patricia one year later gave a lecture on a book about grieving and moving on was so bizarre. Like how long did she really take to grieve before writing that book? A year?? Are u kidding me?? Books take on average 6 months to publish and she got over it that fast? She couldn't even get over her own son for years or talked about him...not even to look at his photo😐. The ending was absolute trash with her being awarded a new man just a year later. Be so for real.
The ending should have been about how the couples were now working on their issues to create healthier and stronger relationships, like a montage with soul felt music. Marriage was just depicted as a very toxic union between two people. Very disappointed but then again Tyler Perry is known to make such movies/series, for example, Beauty in Black which is also very unstructured and chaotic just like the cover photo that makes no sense to the actual plot. There is never any balance...always lacking somewhere. The first one will always be the best though sigh🤦🏽♀️.
