This movie was really well done. I don’t have anything negative to say about it but it just made me feel miserable because the possibility of that notion happening. They all did such a great job with writing and portraying it that it’s like “you did a good job at a bad thing”

Pretty interesting movie. The cast did a great job even though they were wildly underutilized. The setting for this movie also makes it intriguing but the lawlessness makes it feel far fetched. Bully just runs everything with a mean attitude and scissors? No one can stop him because of that? Gosling really dropped the ball with the logic there. He also owed the audience a better retribution and should’ve really made Bully suffer in horrid agony for what he did to Nick.

Jake Gyllenhaal turned in an incredible performance. But this movie really had a hard time coming together and the final turns in the movie struggled to find a sensical place. When looking up the details for this movie, there were several pages along the lines of “Enemie movie ending explained.” A movie should not be left so wide open for audience interpretation. It should tell a story and give it closure. Great acting from everyone involved. But this is more stuff that’s slopped together from a novel as the source material with A24 trying too hard to be artistically vague. People have said to “watch it several times to get it” but a good movie shouldn’t have to be revisited several times to understand it.

I don’t know what these negative reviews are about. 90% of the movie takes place on a small plane and they all did a damn good job selling the story from that viewpoint. There were a lot of fun twists but even if some of the twists are predictable, it was still well done. Also, all the acting was great. Topher Grace turned in an incredible performance and it was so good to see him in a movie again! This movie was good, not mind blowing but definitely worth the watch!

It wasn’t much of a zombie movie. The most insufferable part was the character of Jamie and the illogical decisions she made throughout the movie. Her role and the lack of action, thrill or eeriness made for a frustrating watch.

Movie looked promising until MGK crawled onto the screen and ruined the it.

Dull, boring and seemingly directionless. The camera work was incredibly impressive though. But I didn’t watch this movie for the camera work and no one should waste their time trying to watch this.

It really was all over the place. Only SOME of the details come together by the end of the movie but it’s really hard to keep track of anything. Which isn’t in a fun, puzzling way but more obnoxiously scattered. Even the ending was a mess. It had a lot of promise and I really liked the main actor, but I’d suggest skipping this movie.

I just stumbled onto this on Amazon. It got mixed reviews but this movie rules. It’s touching, ridiculous, practical and has a lot of heart.

I love the four guys behind Workaholics but this just wasn’t good. Those four are comedic geniuses but I think Netflix executives probably stepped in, meddled too much to push what the company wanted and that ruined the movie. Still a big fan of those four, but I won’t watch anything that they do with Netflix after this.
