Nihilistic. Rather than explore the complicated nature of the human condition, this film reduces everyone to the lowest common denominator. Ok, so poor people can be intelligent and evil and wealthy people can be stupid and evil.
Thumbs up, however, to perfect performances and stunning cinematography.
