The movie, while funny in some scenes, is unfortunately just a smear piece against not just Dick Cheney, but pretty much the Republican Party as a whole. Not the most surprising views to come out of Hollywood, but still awfully politically charged for a movie. I was hoping for something similar to The Big Short, but this fell way short.
