Words really cannot describe alone what experiencing SOMA is. The questioning of what being human is, what life is, how we experience life in itself is just...Too difficult to elaborate in mere words. SOMA allows you to think about these topics and explore them throughout. Not many games invoke an actual difficult thought, for example at a certain point in the game, there is a certain someone you meet, and they ask you to stay. You can just go about your business, they're in a game, but for some reason you feel compelled to stay. I've played through SOMA countless times and I still stay by this NPC's side no matter what. Why is this?

Despite the awkward pacing towards the end, too many enemies / obstacles and performance issues such as stuttering -- This is a great reworking of a masterpiece. Bloober Team knocked it out of the park. They've matured. They've come such a long way that it doesn't feel like they even developed the tone-deaf Layers of Fear. I wasn't expecting them to handle Silent Hill 2 with such care, more of a sledgehammer -- but they didn't! I'm now confident that if Bloober Team were to handle the prequel and sequels we'll be in safe hands. :)
