GT Popplewell

Pansori is an acquired taste. But it's very interesting, loud, passionate. CHUNHYANG, the film, is well-made, lyrical and theatric, and in good taste. Almost got that mysterious treatment in Japanese films, doesn't give all, makes the viewer think and mature as an audience. 4 out of 5 as I'd have wanted its scenes/shots to have been more poetic/cinematic, to go with the storytelling. But overall, highly recommended.
