Comples story beautifully acted by diverse cast. High but true emotional pitch.

Beautifully filmed and acted. The principle characters were developed skilfully and the script was convincing and interesting. Go see it.

Strong casting, excellent acting, near perfect interaction between the cast, appealing principal younger actors, improbable storyline, happy ending - what more do you want from an excursion to the cinema!

A great feel good movie that we have too few of these days. The acting is sensitive and genuine with strong lead roles. The sorrow and humour are well played.

A very talented cast and a well integrated story and script. Noni Hazelhurst was the outstanding as the pivot of the story with the full range of emotions and confusion but Claudia Karvan as the frustrated, coping daughter would engage the sympathy of anyone with experience of parents with dementia. Despite the theme it is an uplifting work.

A good reminder of the costs and futility of war and the great historical characters who brought the free world through.

A well made movie. Kiera Knightly is well matched by Dominic West playing the less sympathetic part. Demonstrates the difficulty that women authors had even in France 100 years ago - but creativity triumphs as with "George" Eliot, the Brontes (Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell) and Jane Austen.
