If i had the opportunity to give more stars, I would.
I'm a food, movie and series fanatic, yet 'Waitress' might be the only thing I've watched oh so many times.
*Majorishhh Spoilers Ahead*
The scene opens with beautiful, delicious pies and my oh my, made me hungry real quick.
Acting was spot on, and I found myself rooting for the affair which in my defence, was to let 'jenna' have her moment of happiness which her kind and lovely soul deserved.
The pie bakin scene, man it made me cry. For the entire scene I wished that it weren't a movie and that love like that existed. The way Nathan Fillion and Keri Russell made it such a beautiful and romantic scene is worth commenting on.
The ending, however, took a huge turn.
When i first watched the movie, I was vastly disspointed as I rooted for them to get married.
But something about the movie kept on luring me back and I had to rewatch it continously.
Finally, after watching and watching it for years I realised that the ending was perfect, it was as it was supposed to be and should be.
It's not 'cliche' according to my opinion. It's what 'Jenna' felt like and what 'Jenna's' choice was and yeah not all mothers in the world feel like her but there are some who might've taken the same path as she took and this movie beautifully potrayed that.
I'm glad she kept little lulu and Old Joe really is an angel descended from above with a sweet tooth for 'Jenna's' pies.
------------------------END OF SPOILERS------------------------
All in all, I'm glad a movie like this was made, huge shout out to the director- Adrienne Shelly and hope you rest in peace. Without you, this masterpiece of a movie would have never been made. <3
