I cannot believe that this morning on the TV3 am show, 3 supposedly intelligent broadcasters compared the USA with China using the words "totalitarian state" and "dictator". This comparison beggars belief. Say what you like about Trump (who by edict of the US Constitution cannot be a dictator), but there is a whole world of difference between a democratic country with a rule of law separated from the State by the Supreme Court and a democratically elected House of Representatives with a one party state led by the Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party. These uninformed "throw away" remarks by Duncan Garner and his sidekicks do your journalistic and broadcasting service no favours.
