I loved "The Bean Trees", so I was highly disappointed. I was excited to see the area near where I grew up was the setting of a book. I had to stop after just a couple of chapters because it was completely off the mark I kept thinking to myself, " Did the author even visit the area or did she just Google it?". It was disappointing and insulting at the same time.
