Was I watching the same movie as everyone else? Just horrible. And finally when you think that it's over, it keeps fucking going.

Oh god. Don't even bother. My husband put it on without reading the reviews and wasted my Saturday night. Save yourself the time and just do not watch this hot garbage mess. "Gratuitous" is the word I would use to describe this movie.

Truly shocked by all the excellent reviews and people saying it's their favourite film and that it's the best film of the year etc. It was slow and not interesting in the least. The two lead actors had good chemistry but that's about it. I wish I had trusted my gut and turned it off 25 minutes in when I started asking myself "is anything going to happen?" No. Not really. I usually like this type of film but this was just pretentious garbage. I hated it so much I felt compelled to leave a review. Hopefully I can save one person from watching this movie.

If you're thinking of watching this... Please. Just don't. I knew it was going to be bad but the cast looked decent so I gave it a shot. I can never ever get this time back.

I watched all three seasons. Why? I love John Cameron Mitchell. No other reason. The show is so heavy handed in how it deals with the issues surrounding the main characters weight, it was impossible to do anything but groan and roll my eyes many points during the show. It's as if it was written by a skinny person having to make up what they think it's like to be fat. I would give it 1.5 if I could. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen but I'm not surprised it got cancelled. And it leaves season three on a cliffhanger so, imo don't bother.
