Historical film taking you back to the 1860s Central western N.S.W. True to the era and culture in many details. It's really an Antipodean "western". Did Ben Hall jump or was he pushed? Is this a movie about state persecution or just plain criminality, ie armed thieving? We have to trust those who have written so much about this tragedy. Ben Hall turns to a life of crime from his earlier life as a young settler.
Best performances by far are Jack Gilbert and Biddy Hall.
