Hopkins so well deserved his oscar. At 80 years old, he gave his heart and soul to this final role. He had the right stuff, especially for this character role.
Being 75, and sorely afraid of just what lies ahead myself, it was easy to empathize with the repeating frustrations and exasperations and be highly suspect of the seemingly ongoing, but fictictious, gaslighting. What the hell is really real if your own mind is no longer your go-to trusty problem solver, but the unsolvable problem itself with puzzle pieces strewn all around and you just can't make them fit together.
This is one to see if you like serious acting and well told stories.
