Let me highlight why this "Show was Cancelled!" In Season 2 they go to a world to harvest gasses to make water right? While in the atmosphere of this planet, they see a Big, Blue, CGI Whale flying through the atmosphere. This is the kind of dumb and 'Ridiculous' science fiction mediocrity you're exposed to watching this show. Please check out Roach Sin on Amazon. Now, that's both solid and realistic science fiction which does not treat you the reader like a kindergarten student.

Oh Dear, this movie 'Prays' you've never seen the Matrix. The actor cast as the protagonist tries to channel his inner 'Neo' as does Mr.Saito, trying to channel his inner 'Morpheus' both unfortunately, with mixed results. Well it's obvious isn't it? Both Director and Writers are to bluntly put it, Matrix fan boys. No harm in that, well unless you have a fight scene in a hotel that replicates a third act fight scene from the Matrix! You'll giggle when the Inception cast substitute being plugged into the virtual, dream reality of the Matrix with the revamped, ultra-cool and ineloquent term 'Dream Crashing.' Inception's plot twists, pale in comparison to the Matrix's major plot twist. It's a great movie, if and only IF you were never born or too young to see the real jewel in the 90's. The director was clearly aware of the original film in the 90's and proceeded to take lengthy notes from his predecessors. Now on the other hand an intelligent and 'Original' little novel called Roach Sin, proceeds to take a different approach to its story altogether.

If you're a 'Dog Lover' be prepared to be very offended. The opening scene of this movie has these 'Cruel' teenagers rob and intimidate a young woman, immediately after, they surround and beat to death a creature that looks very dog like. If this scene were real life it may as well have been a group of teenagers beating to death a puppy and then going home to play X-Box. Are we supposed to feel empathy for these teenage characters? You'll start rooting for the 'Canine Aliens' soon after this scene. You'll also notice that the director does not like Dogs, is enamored with gang movies and promotes recreational drugs as 'Hip' and 'Cool.' He has slyly 'Tried' to make a British remake of 'New Jack City' and not a science fiction film. Two things that will cross your mind while watching; is this part movie, part music video? Every 5 minutes the director chooses to blast your sense of sound with awful tracks that pass as 'Music' these days. Secondly, why is the city and thus every scene so brightly lit? There is just no sense of dread and fear with every building in bright white or neon green. Are we watching a rave? I encourage you to check out a little book by the name of 'Roach Sin' on Amazon. Has exactly what your looking for if it's excellent science fiction you're after.

Oh Lord! Here we go again, aliens chatting with humans in the only 'Universal Language' called Math. A Chinese General instead of an American one. LoL, have to keep that Wuhan based international, revenue market happy, as this was way before Covid. An endearing scientist with a heart made of gold who believes in the Alien's noble intentions and altruism. While, other scientists around her (mostly men) are suspicious of their motives and aggressively dissuade her from being too chummy/pally with one in particular. Is there 'Time Travel?' but of course. Where have we seen this before....? Contact! There is a book on amazon that just drops all these canned, scifi tropes altogether. Roach Sin.

This movie's inherent weakness is the protagonist, Lena. It seems the actress hired was miscast. She plays Lena as a doe eyed, naive, 'Oh Gosh is this happening to me?', young woman. When an older and more mature actress should have played Lena as a hardened soldier, who has experienced great loss and understands the human condition. Similar to a character in the unique little novel on amazon called 'Roach Sin'
