Not only were the characters full of cliches, but this series does everyone a disservice by portraying police (good guys) and big Pharma (bad guys) in an unrealistic way. Police seem to have no problem investigating people with whom they have personal connections, and Pharma is completely unregulated by governmental/scientific agencies. Evil, crazy and drugged up people do whatever they want with no oversight from anyone. Best moment: the drug company lobby has a giant plastic Jesus statue filled with colorful, oversized pills, begging to be pushed over, and guess what, it's pushed over.
