Why was this show even made? It’s literally just like any other basic ER show, nothing special or unique. Acting is ok, but the writing is terrible.

This movie is absolute garbage, and Tyler Perry proves once again that he’s a massive clown. The overwhelmingly positive comments make me wonder if they’re bots or if people are genuinely this clueless and willing to praise such low-quality trash. Perry consistently churns out content that feels cheap, rushed, and painfully subpar. What should have been a heartfelt tribute to an incredible story ended up being a poorly executed disaster. The writing was weak, the acting unconvincing, overly dramatic, and embarrassingly corny. And the CGI? It was SO BAD that it made The Mummy Returns look like a visual masterpiece. One of the most frustrating scenes was when the characters arrived at the Army base, awkwardly standing in the cargo hold waiting to be helped down. The lack of realism was mind-blowing—there’s no way something like that would’ve happened on ANY military base during WWII, especially for an all-Black women’s group… IN 1942. Perry’s complete disregard for authenticity is clear, as he prioritizes watering down reality to make the film family-friendly or to fit the tone of his other trash work. Another painfully bad moment was the theater scene. What should have been an intense and serious moment was instead directed like a parody, making it feel like a chaotic Madea movie. This completely undercut the tone and destroyed any chance of genuine emotional impact. I could go on about how poorly this movie was made, but it’s likely pointless. If you enjoy Tyler Perry movies, chances are you’re not particularly concerned with quality storytelling or intellectual depth.

I would go to war with the entire Ottoman Empire, by myself, if it meant there was even a sliver of a chance that I could get the time back I spent watching this umbilical cord of a movie.

The little girl in this series made it so unbearable, she says “mummy” every other word… terrible casting and writing for that role. Other than that, it’s an OK series, nothing thrilling or unique. Not often Apple missed but they dropped the ball on this one.
