Any reference to this film as "artsy" or self-indulgent is not surprising coming from any average consumer of the main stream American Cinema, with its usual fast-paced stimulation geared toward filling the blanks in any vacuum, where there is even a hint of any real substance, let alone anything thought-provoking. So, do not watch the film if you are easily bored with existential questions and answers. However, to those viewers who can appreciate the truent goal of understanding one's existence as a divine act (since no birth and no creature is accidental), the film provides stunning opportunity for self-exploration, along with no doubt masterful cinematography and great acting.
